About the Organization for Accessible Journalism
News is a public good. But it’s not reaching everyone. The Organization for Accessible Journalism works to make news accessible to people who face barriers because of disabilities, alternative communication methods, different ways of accessing the internet, or low literacy levels.
We also work to open the journalism industry to reporters who find themselves left out because of disability, chronic illness, military service injuries, or caregiving responsibilities.
Our projects include the OAJ Style and Accessibility Guide and The Word.
