About Money Trail

The phrase “follow the money” was popularized a half century ago by “All the President’s Men,” the 1976 docudrama chronicling Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein’s Watergate scandal investigation. Their exploits—and the film—inspired a generation of journalists to aspire to be investigative reporters.

It is in that spirit that we launched Money Trail with the goal of providing our readers with information, context and analysis that they are not getting enough from legacy media outlets.
