At Muncie Independent Media Service (MIMS), our mission is to ensure the Muncie community maintains an independent, non-state voice, and to empower the student journalists who make that possible. We proudly operate The Cardinal Independent, CI Radio, and The 765+.
Muncie is a news desert. When a community is dependent on distant and state media, unnewsworthy content sidelines community concerns. This leaves questions unanswered and no one to hold the state accountable.
